Offered is the extremely rare 1862 penny of Queen Victoria with the halfpenny die numerals. The coin is poor and is shown with the standard numerals 1862 for comparison.
In his latest work (The British Bronze Penny), Michael Gouby states that there are only 15 known examples of this variety.
Freeman number 41 and rated Rarity 18 (6 to 15 estimated).
